Hotel Residence Sant’Angelo: a wonderful week!
We spent a wonderful week in Ischia and were impressed with Hotel Residence Sant’Angelo where we stayed and the beautiful island.
I have two comments that may be of interest to other travellers.
The first is that I have to have blood tests each week so I contacted the Rizzoli hospital and asked if they could do them. They said that they could and on Monday morning we travelled on the bus to Lacca Ameno and soon found the hospital. I had the blood tests done and the Dr asked if I needed the results urgently or not. I told her that I would have to phone the hospital where I am being treated with the results as they would need to decide on whether to continue the same dosage of the tablets I am taking. She asked me to sit in the waiting area and less than 5 mins later she brought me the results. Wow!
The second comment is on the bus service on the island. We received an easy to read list of bus services from your website and found the bus routes excellent. On one occasion we forgot to “punch” our tickets in the machine at the other end of the crowded bus. We were unlucky and a plain-clothed inspector asked to see our tickets. It cost us Euro 32 each!
If you travel on the buses in Ischia make sure you “punch” your ticket.
